Location
Just like all our campervans, Rockford’s home is in Sandefjord town, 15 minutes from Torp Airport and 1,5 hours from Oslo. Those three locations are the locations where we deliver the campervans, personally to you. Both Sandefjord and Oslo are great starting points to embark on an unforgettable road trip in Norway.
Winter-ready
This custom-built campervan is designed to keep you comfortable in all weather conditions. After all, in Norway, a July day can be anything from 5°C to 25°C. When the temperature drops, the powerful parking heater keeps the van warm and cosy.
Layout
Rockford features a spacious 160 × 190 cm bed that can be set up in just a few moments. Fresh bedding, pillows, sheets, and duvets are all included, so you can travel light. During the day, the bed easily converts into a comfortable sofa, creating a cozy living area. Set up the outdoor (add from extras) table to enjoy a meal, play board games, or simply relax after a day of exploring.
Kitchen
Cook wherever your adventure takes you with the fully equipped indoor kitchen. It offers plenty of storage space, a double-burner gas stove with a 2 kg gas bottle, and all the cookware and utensils you need to prepare delicious camping meals. The kitchen also includes a sink with running water supplied by a 25 L fresh water tank. A compressor fridge keeps your food and drinks cold throughout your trip, powered by the campervan’s leisure battery.
Electricity
Rockford is equipped with a leisure battery that powers the fridge, interior lighting, USB charging ports, and the parking heater. The battery recharges automatically while you drive, giving you reliable off-grid power throughout your journey. Charge your phones, cameras, and other devices via the built-in USB ports, or add a 220 V inverter to your booking if you need to power larger electronics while on the road.

What driving licence do I need for this camper?
You’ll need only a regular car driving licence. In Norway, it’s a B category.

How much space is there for my luggage?
The luggage space in this campervan is quite generous and can fit two check-in suitcases. We highly recommend using backpacks or duffle bags. Please check the pictures for reference.
If you order add-ons like camping furniture, SUP and more, these items will also be stored in the storage under the bed.
Can I charge my devices when camping?
Yes, you can charge your devices when camping. When wild camping, you’ll have several USB-A ports available.
How long does the battery stays charged?
A fully-charged battery will last accordingly to its use and outdoor conditions. Usually, it isn’t a problem to be stationary for two nights without charging while having the fridge on constantly and the heater for the night.
In very hot weather, the fridge needs to run more often, which can use up a lot of power.
Is there a fridge in the campervan?
Yes, there is a compressor fridge powered by the leisure battery. This means that there will be a constant cool temperature, like in a regular fridge you have at home.
What's difference between Rockford and Rockford Jr.?
Rockford was built as the prototype of this model. As it proved to work well in this layout, we built exact copies of it and call them Rockford Jr. They may differ in materials or colours, but all the functions and layout are the same.
