Does Volkswagen California Exclusive sound like an upgrade? Yes, you guessed right! Compared to the classic VW California, it has a lot of benefits such as a bathroom or stand-up space with no need to lift the roof. Campervan Moby Dick is named after a whale, not by chance. It is the biggest one in our fleet, yet it is still a compact-sized campervan.

Location

Just like all our campervans, Moby Dick’s home is in Sandefjord town, 15 minutes from Torp Airport and 1,5 hours from Oslo. You can pick it up both in Sandefjord or at the Oslo Torp Airport (TRF), where we will meet you in person to give you an introduction to Moby Dick. Oslo city delivery is not available for this campervan.

Layout

This practical campervan is a well-designed vehicle with lots of smart functions. In the front, you will find two single seats, both on a swivel base. The rear seat comes with two seat belts and ISOFIX and is a foldable bed for two as well. The second bed for two is found “upstairs” under the hard roof. Duvets, pillows and bedding follow in the campervan. There are windows with shades and mosquito nets on all sides of the vehicle.

Kitchen

The indoor kitchen comes with a double gas stove fueled by a 2 kg gas bottle, a sink with running water (cold) and 55 l fresh and 65 l grey water tanks. The top loading 30 l fridge will keep your beer cold. The cupboard is filled with all the necessary dishes and utensils you might need for your camping cooking and a lot of storage space is left for your groceries.

Bathroom and storage

In the back of the campervan, one can find a small bathroom with a sink and toilet. Note that there is no shower, but you can rent it separately from our extras. A wardrobe comes with a safe and many shelves to store your belongings. Even though there is a lot of space, we highly recommend packing into a soft suitcase (backpack) which can be stored in any wardrobe during your trip. If you wish to explore Norway on bicycles, a bike rack can be added to your rental.

Electricity

All electric devices such as a fridge, lights, USB outlets and a diesel heater are powered by two leisure batteries that charge while you drive. If you need more power, you can connect the campervan to 220 V at camping sites.

Driving

For the ultimate comfort during the driving part of your journey, Moby Dick is equipped with cruise control, has comfy armrests, storage compartments in the cab, a DAB radio to play and just as in all of our campervans a phone holder. It is a manual transmission vehicle and runs on diesel. Its 80-liter tank can drive you up to 1000 km away!

Super rental company, friendly approach. A great way to travel around Norway. The VW California -"WOLF" lent by us was in very good condition and everything was 100% functional. Perfect attitude of the owners, who went out of their way to accommodate everything. I can only recommend!

Thank you Benzini Campers for supporting us on our wonderful 3 week Norway tour. We traveled 7200 km of wonders and the Volkswagen California called Wolf was always by our side. In our opinion the most beautiful way to visit Norway in total freedom and pleasure. Thank you Vlado for providing us with a reliable and detailed vehicle. We fell in love with your Wolf. We hope to come back and use it again

IN ROAD WE TRUST!

We had a great weekend with the camper van "Wolf". The webasto heater was very effective and the fridge worked perfectly. Vlado from Benzini Campers was extremely helpful and service-minded. He was happy to share his knowledge about camper life and how I can build my own van. They also offer cool extras like gear for outdoor activities such as paddleboards, but that will have to wait until next time when it's more than 8 degrees in the sea!

I have rented the car (Wolf) twice, once with two children and once as we were three adults. Both trips went from Larvik and over to Western Norway and we are very happy with the car and the service. It is easy to drive and fits in all parking lots. It is very nice with free use of kilometers and gas. We will use them again.

Veldig god service og hyggelig folk. Vi lånte Wolf en langhelg, med 2 voksne, 2 barn og en valp virket alt som det skulle og turen ble en kjempeopplevelse. Anbefales

Benzini Campers are very accommodating, they have adapted to our arrival and departure time, they have explained everything about the car, a really great deal. The car was fully prepared and equipped, we did not miss anything. Renting a campervan was a truly unique experience, which we recommend to everyone, you will get to places you would never get with with classic accommodation in a short time and you can sleep almost anywhere, which is really a dream in Norway.
